This was a 20m x 40m Riding Arena constructed on the edge of Dartmoor near Ivybridge.
The customer didn't want a fence so we lined the edge with railway sleepers to keep the materials in.
The field was on an incline and the photo's shows the angle and cut and fill process to get the site level.
The topsoils was used to form an embankment which could be planted with hedging to form a wind barrier.
After the drainage has been installed, the geotextiles are laid and the sand is transported in and levelled and compacted over.
Fibres arrived in bales and spread over the surface of the arena to the correct depths then harrowed in to finish.
